Melanie Trump celebrated her 50th birthday in the White House as the country remains in lockdown because of the coronavirus outbreak.
She was born on April 26, 1970, in the former Yugoslavia (now Slovenia). Melania shifted to the US in 1996 and tied the knot with American businessman Donald Trump in 2005.
Their son Barron Trump was born in 2006.
Donald Trump tweeted a Happy Birthday message to his wife on Sunday, writing: ‘Happy Birthday to Melania, our great First Lady!’

The official White House Twitter account also tweeted a congratulatory message to the First Lady with pictures of her travels in her initiatives to support young girls and women in the military.
As first lady, Melania Trump has championed her “Be Best” initiative to steer children away from cyberbullying and drug use. In the time of coronavirus, she’s using her platform to encourage Americans to practice social distancing and send care packages to hospitals.
The first lady spent her birthday with family at the nation’s capital on Sunday, White House chief of staff Stephanie Grisham told Fox News.
